Works great on my ’01 2500HD
Hey, so this was meant to be a replacement OEM for a 2000 F-250 tow vehicle connector but it’s totally not. Here’s the deal: first, the connector at the other end of the wire bundle (you know, the one that’s supposed to hook into the already existing OEM in your vehicle) doesn’t fit right. Second, the pin pattern in the new connector doesn’t line up with the original one – even if the new connector worked. Finally, the wire bundle on this thing wouldn’t stretch enough to reach the original connector even after securing the “trailer end” connector under the bumper. So, despite the whole “fits like a glove” promise, it totally didn’t (yeah, that was me being sarcastic). I had to send this falsely advertised product back and gave them a full rundown of problems. Despite it all, I STILL PAID FOR RETURNS! And they took that out of my refund! Ugh.Not buying anything from these guys ever again.
Popped it in pretty easily. It’s actually well-built. Haven’t towed anything yet to see if it works, but I’m confident it’ll do just fine.
