Information Collection and Use

Brechbill Trailer Sales is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. Brechbill Trailer Sales collects information from our users at several different points on our website. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Upon messaging opt-in, the end user agrees to receive messages from Brechbill Trailer Sales LLC regarding product updates, order/status notifications, and service reminders. End users can opt-out by replying STOP or request more information by replying HELP. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. If you need assistance or have questions about our SMS service, reply with “HELP” to any SMS message you receive, or contact our customer support team at  717- 262- 6383.

Registration
In order to use some features of this website, a user must first complete a registration form. During registration a user is required to give their contact information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact the user about the services on our site for which they have expressed interest.

Orders
We request information from the user on our order forms. Here a user must provide contact information (like name and shipping address, telephone etc.) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer’s orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user. FOR YOUR SECURITY Brechbill Trailer Sales DOES NOT RETAIN CREDIT CARD INFORMATION AFTER COMPLETION [SHIPPING] OF THE TRANSACTION.

Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of data our website saves in your browser. We also use similar browser storage that works the same way. We use them to:

– Remember the trailers you add to our compare tool.
– Keep the email signup form from popping up again for several days after you close it.
– Remember how you found us, for up to 90 days. This includes the website or ad that sent you to us, the campaign and keyword of an ad you clicked, the click ID an ad platform (such as Google, Facebook, or Microsoft) adds to the link, the first page you visited, and the type of device and browser you used.

When you send us a form, this information is sent with it, so we know which of our marketing brought you to us. It is linked to the contact details you give us on the form.

Google Analytics and Google Ads may also set their own cookies to measure visits and ad results. See “Advertising and Analytics” below.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our website still works, but the compare tool may not remember your trailers.

Advertising and Analytics
We advertise on Google and may advertise on other platforms, such as Facebook or Microsoft. To learn which ads and pages bring us customers, we use tools such as Google Analytics and Google Ads. These tools may set their own cookies and collect information about your visit, such as the pages you view and the ad you clicked.

Phone numbers shown on our site may be tracking numbers. They tell us which ad or page led to your call.

As described under “Sharing,” we may let an advertising platform know when someone who clicked one of our ads became a customer, so our ads reach people who are looking for a trailer.

You can control the ads you see from Google at https://myadcenter.google.com, and you can opt out of Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Data Collection
We take the privacy of our customers seriously. This outlines how we collect, use, and protect any personal information that our customers provide us. We may collect various types of sensitive information from our customers, including but not limited to credit/debit card numbers, legal names, postal addresses, social security numbers, income and financial data, etc. We permit our customers the right to access the data we have collected from them. Our customers may request that we delete any personal data we have collected by contacting us at 717-262-6383, with the exception of information we are required to keep by legal obligation. This may be a two-step process such as submitting a request followed by a subsequent confirmation.

Log Files
Like most websites, our server records basic information about each visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. We use this to keep the site secure, block spam, fix problems, and understand general trends in how people use our site.

When you send us a form, your IP address and browser information are saved with it. This helps us stop spam and fraud, and it is linked to the contact details you give us on the form.

Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with companies that help us run our business:

– Shipping companies, to ship orders.
– Credit card processors, to bill for goods and services.
– Lenders and financing partners, when you ask us to help you apply for financing. We share only the information you give us, and only with the lender you choose.
– Call tracking services, to measure which ads and pages lead to phone calls.
– Advertising platforms such as Google, and others we may advertise with in the future, such as Facebook or Microsoft. We may send them the click ID from the ad you clicked, and an encrypted (hashed) version of your email address or phone number, along with whether you became a customer. This tells them which of our ads led to real customers, so they can show our ads to people who are more likely to need a trailer. A hashed email or phone number is scrambled so it cannot be read; the platform can only match it to an account it already has.

These companies may use the information only to provide their service to us. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone.

Links
This web site may contain links to other sites. Please be aware that we, Brechbill Trailer Sales, are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Web site.

Surveys & Contests
Occasionally our site requests information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.

Security
This website takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.

When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry – SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just ‘surfing’.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers’ information is protected. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment.

If you have any questions about the security at our website, you can send an email to our webmaster at support@brechbilltrailers.com.

Site and Service Updates
We also send the user site and service announcement updates. Members are not able to unsubscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service. We communicate with the user to provide requested services and in regard to issues relating to their account via email or phone.

Correction/Updating Personal Information
If a user’s personally identifiable information changes (such as your zip code), or if a user no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that user’s personal data provided to us. This can usually be done by emailing our Customer Support.

Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our Homepage, so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to whether we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
