Hey, just a heads-up. Those plastic bushings that are included with stock springs? Yeah, they don’t hold up, especially when dealing with saltwater. Check out this pic I’ve attached. I only added these springs a couple of months ago, and the so-called durable plastic bushings are already in bad shape. But I got a solution: pair it with B-201-10 Zerk shoulder-bolts, and now my jetski trailer springs are practically indestructible.

The outer diameter (OD) of the bushing was roughly .008″ more than 11/16″, which made the fit pretty much spot on. But the inner diameter (ID) was a different story. It measured up at .5930″, which is .030″ larger than 9/16″ (or .5625), resulting in the hanger bolts fitting a bit sloppy.

I was in a bit of a rush to get my trailer back on the road, so I went ahead and installed them along with some freshly lubed bolts. I’m going to keep an eye on them, especially cause I drive a lot on gravel roads. Not sure how they’ll do with all the jolting and jarring, but we’ll see how it goes.

Just what we needed and wanted! These are bushings from Dexter and they’re gonna work just as expected…like the original ones. Thanks a ton! 😊

  4. DD

The bushings were exactly as advertised in terms of length, outside and inside diameter, and material. They fitted perfectly into now leaf springs after a tiny nudge and I was able to bolt them onto the hangers of my fifth-wheel trailer using wet bolts. I greased them well until a bit seeped through the ends. Plus, they’re way better than the old nylon bushings that were pretty much kaput, totally unable to bear any load.

    Exactly as described.
