7×16 dump trailers are perfect for those who have big equipment or a lot of product to haul. There are a number of different price ranges and lots of options available.
On the lower end of the scale is the BWise Low Pro HD series, which is standard with 20″-high sides. That’s a continuation of the proven Bri-Mar brand, which was bought out by BWise. These LPHD trailers are sturdy and heavy duty, without extra bells and whistles. They’ve got 7k axles, for a payload of 9735 lbs. Standard features are a slide-in ramp, D-rings in the bed for tying down equipment, and under-bed storage. With a 12-gauge wall and a 10-gauge floor, backed by a two-year warranty, the LPHD series is a reliable choice for a lower budget.
The 7×16 BWise DLP is a higher-end dump trailer. With a full 8″ tube frame, heavy-duty fenders, and a floor built from one solid piece of 10-gauge steel, they deserve their five-year warranty. They come in two weight ratings. Models with 7k axles can carry an 11,400 lb. payload, and trailers with 8k axles carry 12,740 lbs. That’s a lot of weight.
Besides, the DLP models have a ton of features. A 5-amp AC charger, underbed storage that will fit shovels, a spare-tire mount, ramps that slide under the bed, and a three-way tailgate. Three-way means that the tailgate will open like a barn door, spread like a dump truck, or lay down like a pickup truck tailgate. Standard sides are 22″ high.
The top-of-the-line in dump trailers is the BWise Ultimate Dump. Guys with big jobs love them. With fold-down high sides, and a tailgate-ramp combo, you can do just about anything in an Ultimate Dump. They’ve got all the advantages of pretty much any other trailer.
All these BWise 7×16 dump trailers have further options, like a spare-tire mount, tarp, and wireless remote, things that we can add for you in-house while the paperwork is done. No need to order them special.
Last, but definitely not least, are 7×16 aluminum dump trailers. Our EBY aluminum dump trailers will weigh 1000 lbs. less than a steel trailer, but will equal steel in durability. Why not get more hauling capacity for the same GVWR? EBY’s 80 years of experience proves that they can build a solid trailer. Their trailers are built with custom extrusions, which means that they have the right amount of strength everywhere, yet with no excess weight.
Not convinced about aluminum? Read our article on aluminum dump trailers. Aluminum doesn’t mean light duty.
The 7×16 EBY dump trailers have 0.270″ thick flooring with 3″ supports every foot. Sides are built with stacked box tubing, which allows the 24″ standard sides to be increased up to 48″ in 6″ increments. Most of the structure is huck-bolted together rather than welded, so that the box and frame can absorb more stress when driving or dumping. That minimizes cracking, which can happen along aluminum weld lines.
We order our EBY inventory with the options of a tarp, wireless remote, two-way combo gate, ramps, D-rings in the bed, and rear stabilizer jacks, so that you don’t need to wait if you want a trailer with all the bells and whistles. However, we can order standard models too.
What style of trailer you choose really depends on your needs and your budget. We’ve got hundreds of dump trailers in stock, so whatever your needs and price range might be, we can help you out!
